Sr. .Net Developer

NET Developer (REMOTE)

Position Description As an experienced developer, you will have a superior software development background and be able to develop, design, and revolutionize technical solutions for the creation and revised applications and processes. You will interact with Lead Developers, System Analysts, Business Users, Architects, Test Analysts, Project Managers and peer developers to analyze system requirements, design and develop software solutions and enhancements. Technical solutions and driving deliverables will be constructed to enable the client to accomplish its business objectives. This position can be performed remotely!

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Your general role will be new development and support task responsibilities as assigned.
• As part of the Development team, you will work through the backlog production fixes and enhancements to existing.Net applications
• You will ensure quality code and development; potentially help validate other team members’ code following defined patterns and standards
• You could conduct unit testing and participate with system testing as required.
• You will fill out required documentation such as installation instructions and follow company standards and procedures.
• You will participate/assist with deployments to all environments.
• You will investigate, evaluate and recommend solutions for complex technical problems, and implementing the designs / solutions in code.
• Other duties include: design, construction, testing, documentation and implementation of C++ based business systems.
• You will provide expert level IT technical services and technical expertise in systems, technical infrastructure, tools, modeling, external interfaces, and other technical areas.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or a related field.
• Strong Analytical and Problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge with Test Driven Development is strongly preferred.
• Experience working in fast paced environment is preferred.
• Experience working collaboratively with a team spread across multiple locations and time zones.
• Ability to quickly pick up new technical skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Proficient in UNIX (Perl, Shell, AWK, Ksh)

Advanced proficiency in unit testing as well as coding in 1-2 languages (e.g. C, C++, Java, etc).

Experience with Agile Methodology

Good communication skills.

Experience in the telecommunications industry.

Experience with multiple different databases (Oracle, MS SQL)

Experience with Winforms.

Knowledge of MetaStorm BPM workflow.
