Top Coat Painting Professionals is a licensed and bonded painting company serving Tacoma and Pierce County. We handle everything from a single accent wall to a full exterior transformation — house painting, cabinets, millwork, wood staining, roof and driveway coatings.

We're hiring a Field Marketing Manager to own how our name gets in front of the neighborhoods we're already working in. If you like being out in the field, talking to people, and getting paid more when you produce more, read on.

What You'll Do

You own our lead flow — job site marketing, neighborhood outreach, and reactivating past clients.

Job Site Marketing (you own the entire process)

• Identify high-value job sites to market around and plan the execution
• Place yard signs and distribute door hangers in targeted neighborhoods
• Run door-knocking campaigns around active and completed job sites
• Track what's working in a simple spreadsheet so we spend effort where it pays

Previous Client Outreach

• Call past clients to check in on completed work
• Ask for referrals and re-engage past clients on new projects
• Send follow-up emails and texts

Strategic Partner Outreach

• Research and reach out to realtors, interior designers, property managers, general contractors, and other home service businesses
• Set up meetings between those partners and the owner
• Maintain a clean database of leads and follow-ups

Sales Support & Lead Qualification

• Handle incoming lead inquiries
• Pre-qualify homeowners before handing them to the estimator
• Schedule estimates

Cold Calling Team Management (as you grow into the role)

• Direct the cold calling team toward the right neighborhoods
• Train and coach callers
• Manage schedules, hours, and performance
• Recruit and retain marketing team staff

What a Typical Week Looks Like

• 12 hrs — job site marketing (signs, flyers, door hangers)
• 5–6 hrs — previous client follow-up calls
• 3–5 hrs — strategic partner outreach
• 2–4 hrs — lead nurture and setup calls
• 1–2 hrs — admin and planning

Total hours flex with business needs. Evenings and weekends are when homeowners answer the door, so that's where a good chunk of the time lands.

Compensation

• Base: $20/hour for marketing work — flyer distribution, sign placement, calls
• Bonus: $30 for every qualified, attended estimate you set, or coffee meeting booked with a strategic partner
• On-Target Earnings: $35–$50/hour depending on performance
• Flexible schedule
• Real path into a blended or full-time sales role as you prove out

Who We're Looking For

• Comfortable knocking on a stranger's door and starting a friendly conversation
• Self-directed — you can plan your own week and hold yourself to a number
• Organized enough to keep a tracking spreadsheet and a follow-up list current
• Clear, warm communicator on the phone and in person
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and able to be on your feet outdoors
• Prior canvassing, door-to-door, field marketing, or home services experience is a plus — not required. We'll train the right person.
• Leadership or team management experience is a bonus for the cold calling side of the role
