Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Florence, South Carolina.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Labor and Delivery\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/28/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Sep 28, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with high-risk OB and couplet care experience for a day-shift assignment requiring a SC or compact RN license.Details\n \n LDRP unit within an acute care hospital\n Patient ratios of 1:2, 1:1, and 1:3 couplets\n 3x12-hour day shifts, 6:45am-7:15pm\n Every third weekend required\n On-call required, two 12-hour shifts within a 6-week period\n No floating required outside the unit\n Uses Epic for charting and Omnicell for medication dispensing\n Facility may cancel up to one shift per two-week period\n Requirements\n \n Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required\n Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience\n BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only)\n AWHONN Beginner and Intermediate certification required\n FHM and NRP certification required\n AWHONN Advanced and STABLE certification preferred\n Epic EMR experience required\n Experience in couplet care and high-risk OB required\n Skilled in labor and delivery management, high-risk deliveries, postpartum couplet care, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and infusion pump/drip monitoring\n SSN and driver's license required for consideration\n Additional Information\n \n Provide labor, delivery, postpartum, and couplet care to patients in a high-risk OB setting\n Assist with high-risk deliveries and antepartum care\n Scrubs provided by the facility\n Block scheduling may be considered with manager approval, subject to unit needs\n First-time travelers considered depending on position needs\n Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to be accepted\n Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler\n All RTO must be submitted at time of application for consideration\n Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June-November, peak August-September) all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-737866.
