Environmental Health Safety Specialist

Smiths Detection

Smiths Detection is looking for a proactive Health & Safety Specialist to support our Field Service organization across the Central U.S. This is a great opportunity for an HSE professional who enjoys being in the field, partnering with frontline teams, and driving a strong safety culture across multiple sites. In this role, you’ll: Conduct audits/inspections and risk assessments at Field Service locations Lead incident investigations , root cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective actions Track regional HSE KPIs and drive improvements toward safety goals Support workers’ comp , ergonomics solutions, and industrial health compliance What we’re looking for: 5+ years of HSE experience supporting environmental and safety programs Bachelor’s degree (or relevant experience) and strong OSHA knowledge (OSHA 30 preferred) Comfort traveling to support field locations ( ~50% travel ) #J-18808-Ljbffr
