In this full-time remote position, you will play a pivotal role in providing specialized mental health care to individuals affected by trauma, helping them navigate the challenges of recovery through evidence-based treatment and support.

Work Environment\nThis remote position allows you to connect with patients from the comfort of your own home while fostering a strong team-oriented culture with your colleagues. Your primary work hours will be from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but some flexibility in scheduling may be required to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' individual trauma histories and determine appropriate treatment approaches. \n
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and long-term healing. \n
- Provide various evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in both individual and group therapy sessions. \n
- Facilitate supportive group therapy sessions that enable patients to share experiences and learn from each other in a safe setting. \n
- Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care for each patient. \n
- Offer crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, providing immediate assistance in high-stress situations. \n
- Educate patients and their families about common trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources to enhance their support system. \n
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring secure patient information management. \n
- Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on enhancing trauma-informed care practices. \n
- Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously improve therapeutic approaches. \n
Your patient population will primarily consist of individuals grappling with the aftermath of trauma, including but not limited to, veterans, survivors of abuse, and individuals facing chronic psychological distress. You will be instrumental in creating and fostering a supportive therapeutic alliance, which is essential in helping patients open up and engage meaningfully in their recovery journey.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LCPC, LMFT, LCMFT, or PsyD in the state of Maryland. \n
- A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred. \n
- Sound knowledge of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building strategies. \n
- Experience employing trauma-focused therapeutic approaches and interventions. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental attitude towards patients. \n
- The ability to remain calm and composed in crisis situations while providing much-needed support to patients. \n
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications. \n
- A collaborative spirit, with the willingness to work closely with a diverse team of professionals. \n

- Previous experience in providing trauma-focused therapy in a fast-paced clinical setting. \n
- Adeptness in integrating various therapeutic modalities based on individual patient needs. \n
- Familiarity with community resources to assist clients beyond therapeutic sessions. \n
