Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active special education teaching license for the state of New Mexico (required)
• Experience working with elementary, middle, or high school students in a special education setting
• Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and case management
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to individual student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction to students with varying abilities in accordance with IEP goals
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
• Maintain accurate records and progress notes for each student, supporting ongoing academic and behavioral growth
• Utilize evidence-based interventions and differentiated instruction
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
• Advocate for students’ needs and celebrate their achievements
