Global Textile Alliance (GTA) is a leading provider of innovative textile solutions serving the home furnishings industry. We are seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Sales Specialist to help grow our business, strengthen customer partnerships, and expand our presence within the upholstery market.

This role is ideal for an energetic sales professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities, and working closely with customers to deliver solutions that support their business. The Sales Specialist will manage an assigned territory, maintain and grow existing accounts, and actively develop new business opportunities.

What You'll Do

Drive Sales Growth

• Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue and growth goals.
• Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of customer accounts while identifying and developing new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals, and market research.
• Conduct customer meetings, product presentations, line reviews, and business-development activities both virtually and in person.
• Maintain regular customer visits and strong market presence within assigned territories. 

Build Strong Customer Relationships

• Serve as the primary contact and trusted business partner for assigned customers.
• Understand customer needs, product requirements, business priorities, and market opportunities.
• Develop long-term relationships with key decision-makers, manufacturers, retailers, designers, and purchasing teams.
• Provide exceptional service and work collaboratively to resolve customer concerns.
• Support Product & Market Development
• Maintain expertise in GTA products, capabilities, and competitive advantages.
• Collaborate with Design and internal teams on customer-specific opportunities and product development.
• Monitor industry trends, customer preferences, and market activity to identify new opportunities.
• Share customer insights and market intelligence to support business growth.

Collaborate Across the Organization

• Partner closely with Sales, Design, Customer Service, Planning, Quality, Shipping, and other teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Communicate customer needs, priorities, and opportunities clearly and effectively.
• Participate in sales meetings, trade shows, markets, conventions, and industry events.
• Manage Account & Sales Information
• Monitor customer activity, inventory usage, and future business opportunities.
• Maintain accurate information in CRM and sales systems.
• Prepare reports and follow up on inventory and account needs.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 2 years of B2B sales and/or marketing experience.
• Experience in retail, home furnishings, textiles, specialty products, consumer goods, or related industries preferred.
• Proven ability to build customer relationships and grow business.
• Strong consultative selling, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple customers and priorities.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to travel overnight, domestic and international, approximately 50%.
• Ability to lift and transport sample bags weighing up to 70 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in upholstery, furniture, home furnishings, textiles, decorative home products, or luxury consumer goods.
• Existing industry relationships and customer network.
• Experience working with furniture manufacturers, retailers, designers, or purchasing teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Textiles, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
