Job Title: General Manager – Marble City Market Food Hall

Reports to: Director of Operations, Bridgewater Management

Job Summary:

The General Manager of the Food Hall will oversee the overall operations and management of the food hall, ensuring its smooth and successful functioning. They will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the food hall vendors, ensuring a high standard of service, and delivering an exceptional dining experience for guests. The General Manager inspires, educates and supports the team to create the best hospitality experience for all guests and the best work environment and experience for all staff. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and organizational skills, with a deep understanding of the food industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership and management of the food hall, including vendor relations, staff supervision, and guest experience
• Develop and implement operational strategies and policies to drive revenue growth and enhance the overall guest enjoyment
• Manage vendor relationships, including lease agreements, compliance, and performance evaluations
• Recruit, train, and supervise food hall staff, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. Grows teams of people who exemplify our culture and values
• Collaborate with vendors to curate an appealing and diverse mix of food offerings that meet guest preferences and market trends
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, including sales reports, expenses, and profit margins, and take appropriate actions to ensure positive financial results
• Oversee the marketing and promotional activities of the food hall, including social media, advertising, and events, to drive foot traffic and increase customer engagement
• Maintain a safe and clean environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Foster positive relationships with guests, addressing concerns, and ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging food concepts to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement
• Ability to resolve tech issues with POS, Booking software, etc. as they arise

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred) or long term relevant successful work experience
• 5+ years of experience in the food service industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
• Proven track record of successfully managing and growing a food-related business or establishment
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• In-depth knowledge of food service operations, including food safety regulations, inventory management, and customer service best practices
• Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and make sound decisions
