OB Tech - Labor and Delivery - Per Diem 12 Hours Nights (6:00 PM to 6:30 AM) (Union, Non-Exempt)

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the RN, the technician assists on all types of procedures for patients of all ages. Stocks and maintains unit supplies. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team in the scrub/assistant role. Demonstrates investment in the overall forward movement of the unit and the organization. Applies good interpersonal and communication process utilizing verbal and non‑verbal skills to achieve organizational service goals of customer satisfaction and a positive work environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Accountable to the unit Manager and/or the Director of the department. Annually demonstrates competence in critical behaviors. Displays professional commitment and supports the unit team by promoting unity and teamwork among coworkers by maintaining a positive attitude and positive working relationships. Knowledge of AORN/AW HONN/ACOG recommended standards. Responsible for understanding and participating in the organization-wide Performance Improvement Program through orientation, education, departmental and interdepartmental quality control, performance improvement, and quality planning activities.

EDUCATION

Minimum (Required) High School Diploma or equivalent

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

Current BLS certification Must successfully complete and maintain NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification within 4 months of hire. Preferred (Not required) Surgical Technician program/certification preferred.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

The hourly salary rate range for this position is $21.00- $25.95.
