Adjunct Instructor - Psychology

Responsibilities Adjunct (part-time) faculty to teach courses in Psychology on a semester basis. Teaching assignments may be on campus, at an extension center within 40 miles of the downtown campus, or via online delivery methods. In-person teaching is preferred. Collaborate with senior department faculty to develop course content consistent with official course syllabi. Deliver course instruction to students. Be available for student assistance and advising outside of class. Participate in course assessment. Attend department/program meetings. Engage in professional development activities. Perform other duties as assigned. Employment Policies Regular on-campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Required Qualifications Master’s degree or higher in Psychology from an accredited college or university, or at least 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) of graduate-level coursework in the discipline. Applicants with foreign education credentials must contact a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) for an academic transcript evaluation and submit the evaluation with application materials. Preferred Qualifications PhD in Psychology from an accredited college or university, or at least 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) of graduate-level coursework in the discipline. Previous college or secondary teaching experience, particularly fully responsible college-level teaching experience. Previous experience in presentation, group facilitation, or training in an academic, professional, or community setting.
