Responsibilities Assist with performing stress tests (treadmills, nuclear stress tests, and stress echoes) under the direction of an advanced practice provider for both outpatients and inpatients. Perform stress tests under supervision of Advanced Practice Provider. Explain purpose and procedure of stress test to patient. Prepare patients for testing including setup of modified 12 lead EKG and continuous monitoring throughout the test with rhythm identification and interpretation. Maintain/clean stress test machines and equipment. Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise with stress testing equipment. Order supplies/medications. Qualifications Required: High school graduate or GED Active MA-C or MA-C Interim OR MA-P with minimum of one-year relevant experience. Desired: Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory care setting. Basic computer skills. Basic knowledge of cardiac rhythms.
