This Staff Accountant position is crucial for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the company’s financial records, directly supporting daily operations and contributing to the overall financial health and strategic growth of the organization. The person in this role will ensure financial transparency and operational efficiency through meticulous accounting practices, helping the company make informed business decisions and scale effectively. The TL;DR Role: Early Career Type: Full-time Location: In-person, Cottonwood Heights, UT Mission: To prepare and maintain financial records, tracking the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics What You’ll Actually Do Month-End Close Management: Assist with daily accounting activities and actively participate in the month-end close process. Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare critical journal entries, perform detailed account reconciliations, and conduct flux analysis as a key member of the month-end close team. Process Improvement Initiatives: Collaborate closely with the accounting team to identify and implement enhancements that drive process improvement. Audit Preparation & Support: Assist in the thorough preparation and planning required for the annual financial statement audit. Policy & Process Development: Develop and implement financial policies and processes designed to scale effectively with company growth. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively across various teams, providing actionable financial insights to support optimal business decisions. Project & Ad-Hoc Contributions: Complete ad-hoc tasks and project work as needed, alongside other assigned duties. The Must-Haves Background: Possess a 4-year degree with a concentration in Accounting. Experience: Bring 0-3 years of overall accounting experience, demonstrating the ability to understand and articulate data and financial results, and complete projects on time with minimal supervision, including varied hours when necessary to meet deadlines. Skills: Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong attention to detail, organization, time management, excellent oral and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively with individuals and teams at all levels in the organization. Bonus: Experience with fixed assets and inventory accounting, and familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics. #J-18808-Ljbffr
