About the Position

Job Title: Rad Tech Profession: Radiologic Technologist Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-17:30 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: ARRT / RTR, RCIS Certifications: ACLS & BLS Must-Have: Critical Care / Angio (IR) experience Description: The unit features Angiography and Interventional Radiology with 3 labs. Staffing includes a lead tech, RN, and 3-4 person teams consisting of 2 techs and 2 RNs. Equipment utilized includes IVUS, Shockwave, Angio Jet, and Jet Stream. The documentation system in use is EPIC Cupid. Scheduling requires 4 ten-hour shifts with call. Previous ICU or ER experience is required. The unit performs various procedures including Permcath placements, Port placements, Thrombectomy, Atherectomy, and others. This facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center and a Certified Stroke Center. Staff report a family-like atmosphere, supportive management, and opportunities for growth. The patient population is high acuity, requiring advanced skills in critical care management and Angio / IR experience. The unit adheres to specific guidelines and policies to ensure the highest level of care. Staff significantly value new equipment and technology available in the department.
