Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Low census hours may occur in 4-hour increments; contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
• Work in a 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit with a fast-paced, high patient turnover environment
• Patient ratio typically 1:4
• Care for post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer, defib, ablations, acute CP/MI, med/surg overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbation, respiratory failure, and Fem Pop Bypass patients
• Must have 1 year of strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU, Intermediate Cardiac, or Cardiac ICU) and 2 years of IMC/PCU/Tele experience
• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips required
• At least one prior travel assignment required
• 1 year of recent EPIC charting experience required
• Must be able to pass EKG test during the first week of hire
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub color: any color
