Description: Unit Information: Number of Beds: 44 beds Number of Staff: 95 Type of Staff: Day Shift: 2 Charge Nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 Health Unit Coordinator Night Shift: 2 Charge Nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 Health Unit Coordinator Patient Ratios: 4:1 at grid, 5:1 stretched Type of Equipment: IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pump, chest tube, trachs, patient lifts Electronic Medical Record: Cerner Typical Hiring Profile: Skill Set Most Recruited for: Neuro and trauma care experience Preferred Skills: Candidates with neuro and trauma care experience will be considered first. Typical Procedures Performed: Neuro and spinal checks C-Collar placement TLSO braces Chest tube and PCA pump management IV infusions Lumbar drain placement Feeding tube placement Blood transfusions Best Personality Fit: Team player, patient-focused Floating Areas: Stepdown units, Med-surg units Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs Weekends and On-Call: Every other weekend General Comments: 1 position available.
