Real Estate Title Processor

Responsibilities: • Interface with title examiner and underwriter to prepare title insurance policy and binders and title commitments, and with loan closer to prepare HUD-1 real estate closing statements • Coordinate with loan officer, mortgage loan processor, and underwriter to ensure all closing instructions are followed as per the closing package, and all underwriting commitments have been satisfied • Aid title officers with administrative assistant essential duties, including clerical and data entry support • Record transactions by entering necessary title and loan documents into software programs and track applicant’s progress • Examine and verify the accuracy of documentation such as public records, deeds, property title records, property ownership, leases, surveys, contracts, and agreements needed to produce a clear title Perform real estate closings with buyers and sellers, explaining documents throughout the process. Qualifications: • Excellent research, communications, customer service, and analysis skills are needed • Years of experience (1-3) with real estate transactions or title processing, or as a title company pre-processor or mortgage loan processor is essential • College is an asset but not required; high school diploma or equivalent is a requirement • Certification as a notary public is not required but is appreciated • Computer proficient with numerous programs including MS Office is needed Experience in title processing or real estate transactions, ensuring smooth and accurate closings. Ability to interface effectively with title examiners, underwriters, and loan closers to prepare essential documents. Proven track record of coordinating with loan officers and mortgage processors to meet closing instructions and underwriting commitments. Strong skills in examining and verifying documentation accuracy, including public records, deeds, and property title records. Proficiency in using software programs (especially Qualia) for data entry and tracking applicant progress. Excellent organizational skills to aid title officers with administrative and clerical tasks. Detail-oriented mindset to identify discrepancies and ensure clear title production. Compensation: $22 - $35 hourly
