Outpatient Physical Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Monday 6:30 AM - 12:30 PM; Tuesday/Thursday 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM; Wednesday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM; Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients, developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction. The role includes the delegation and direction of therapy services, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs for effective patient community reintegration. The therapist acts as an educator for patients, families, students, and colleagues, while adhering to all organizational policies and maintaining professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans focused on patient discharge.
• Document patient care clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines.
• Provide supervision and create a positive learning environment for students, as applicable.
• Engage in self-directed professional development and maintain licensure through continuing education.
• Adhere to professional and ethical standards relevant to the discipline.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 6 months of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state licensure.
• Previous experience with Select Medical is a plus.
