Maintenance AsstThe West Center - Fort Worth, TX 76102OverviewPosition Type: Full Time Job Shift: Day Education Level: High School Travel Percentage: None Category: Installation - Maint - RepairDescriptionMaintenance Assistant - Handy man - Jack of all TradesNo certification, registrations, or licenses are required.Minimum education is a high school diploma or equivalent.A minimum of 2 years experience in maintenance, preferably in a health care facility is required.Employee must have general knowledge of safety, SDS, infectious waste rules, and infection control.Employee must also be willing to learn basic maintenance and repairs within the Center and have the ability to recognize when to refer a more complex problem to appropriate resources.Must have basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, construction, make ready, repair and replacement.Must be self-motivated and take initiative.Working with a computerized work order system is required.Must be able to work harmoniously and effectively with residents, families, fellow employees, other associated members and vendors.Must be able to keep accurate records and logs.QualificationsMust have a high school diploma or equivalent.Must possess a valid, current driver's license.Must maintain a satisfactory driving record and meet the organization's requirements for operating a vehicle in the course of employment.Must be able to move throughout the building with or without assistive devices.Must be able to stand and walk for 8 hour shifts.Must be able to lift 50 pounds.Must be able to lift, use, and operate equipment and machinery.
