Event Coordinator

The Local Restaurant and Catering in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a highly organized and motivated event coordinator for our catering division. We are a full-service catering company that specializes in weddings, social gatherings & corporate events throughout Central Virginia. Part Time (hourly) or Full Time (salaried) available depending on best fit. Job Responsibilities Include: Provide overall direction, coordination and ongoing oversight of catering events and staff during business hours and while at events. Maintains strong knowledge of the local catering and wedding markets and future trends Provides accurate reporting of event and catering revenue as well as metrics as needed to support business goals and objectives Maintains strong relationships with partner companies, including florists, rental companies, etc to assist clients, including touring new and existing event spaces to accurately meet client demands Handles client requests promptly and with high level of accuracy, service with a smile Requirements: Experience 1+ year prior event management/coordination experience OR 1+ year prior experience in hospitality industry Skills Prior experience with TripleSeat or similar event management software Able to multi-task and work under pressure in order to meet deadlines and satisfy clients Have strong decision-making and problem-solving skills Possess the ability to work will with many different people Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills Have strong public relations abilities Must possess basic computer skills (Word, Excel, etc #J-18808-Ljbffr
