About the Position

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: 4x10 hour day shifts; includes on-call requirements (1 day per week and every 4th/5th weekend); approximately one Saturday per month as part of regular scheduled shifts

Highlights:

• Work in a Magnet-designated facility with Level II Trauma designation, recognized as the best hospital in Alaska
• 407-bed acute care hospital utilizing Epic charting system
• Exposure to both diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, with opportunities to float to Electrophysiology and Interventional Radiology
• Specialized equipment experience including Impella, balloon pump, laser, rotablator, and shockwave technology
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• 13-week assignment with 70 guaranteed hours per 2-week period; free parking provided

Requirements:

• Active Alaska RN license (must be in hand prior to offer; pending licenses accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Catheterization Lab experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
• Strong procedural skills including cardiac catheterization, PCI, IABP management, and interventional procedures
• Ability and willingness to float to Electrophysiology or Interventional Radiology as needed
• Experience with monitoring procedural sedation, hemodynamic monitoring, and emergency medications
• Two professional references covering one year of experience within the past three years
