Exciting Opportunity in Labor and Delivery!

Job Description:


- Join a dynamic team in a vibrant Labor and Delivery unit.
- Work 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00.
- Provide care for childbearing women and well newborns in a supportive environment.


Key Responsibilities:


- Essential Care: Must have experience in Couplet Care and Postpartum.
- Experience Required:
- 4 years preferred (2 years minimum).
- No first-time travelers.
- On-call Requirement:
- One on-call shift every 4 weeks for 3x12 contracts.


Unit Details:


- Rooms: 22
- Beds: 28
- Patient Ratios: 1:2 in Labor and Delivery, 1:4 in Postpartum.
- Charting System: EPIC Stork
- Medication System: Omnicell
- Support Staff: Intensivist, Hospitalist, and Anesthesiologist in house 24/7.

Special Equipment:


- Belmont Rapid Infuser
- Philips Fetal Monitor
- CADD epidural pumps
- Baxter IV pumps
- Atom cribs and warmers

Patient Population:


- Childbearing women
- Well newborns, neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults

Required Certifications/Skills:


- ACLS
- AWHONN Intermediate
- AWHONN Advanced
- NRP
- BLS
- IV Start proficiency

Skills Expected:


- Labor and Delivery expertise
- Supportive roles in postpartum care
- Administering medications and IVs
- Neonatal Resuscitation and assessment
- Guidance on breastfeeding and infant care

Scheduling & Flexibility:


- Self-scheduling
- Must be flexible with availability
- Hourly shifts every other holiday preferred
