Job Description Job Description HVAC Service Technician Locations: Columbus, OH 43228, & Vandalia, OH 45377 Job Summary: As a Service Technician, you ensure our customers stay comfortable by thoroughly inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems. You also provide honest recommendations for new equipment and indoor air quality solutions when needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Representing Logan Services in a profession and positive manner at all times Maintaining productivity that is profitable according to Service Department standards Handling cash, checks, and/or customer credit card information Participating in the On-Call Rotation Following Logan Services’ process and procedures Informing management of any issues in the field Maintaining a clean background check and driving record Performing all other duties as assigned Competencies: Appearance – Always displays a high level of appearance suitability Care and Use of Equipment – Has outstanding knowledge of all job-related equipment. Identifies customer needs and explains services clearly Job Knowledge – Displays high level of job knowledge, always able to complete all normal and difficult tasks independently, and regularly assists difficult tasks of others utilizing high level of job knowledge Sales Skills – able to bring sales opportunities to closure or drive incremental revenue Work Quality – Consistently achieves desired outcomes with a minimum of avoidable errors and problems Requirements Experience and Requirements: 2-7 years of experience working with an HVAC contractor EPA Universal Certification Clean background check and driving record Owns personal hand tools Excellent communication skills The role requires frequent physical activity, including but not limited to: Able to regularly lift, carry, push, pull and or move, equipment, and materials of 50+ pounds Able to climb ladders, work at heights, and navigate tight spaces such as attics and crawl spaces Able to bend, kneel, crouch, and stand for extended periods during installation, maintenance, repairs and other tasks as needed Able to operate power tools and handle potentially hazardous chemicals and materials safely Able to drive in various conditions, including inclement weather (e.g., rain, snow, ice) and during early mornings or late evenings, to reach job sites across different locations
