School of Medicine - Open Rank - Urology Title: School of Medicine - Open Rank - Urology Assignment Category: Full-Time Rank: Open Rank Payroll Status: Faculty 12 The Department of Urology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Medicine seeks clinicians, clinician‑investigators, and investigators holding MD, PhD, or MD/PhD degrees for multiple faculty positions with open rank and tenure status. Rank, salary, and tenure status are commensurate with experience and qualifications. Clinician and clinician‑investigators must be board certified or board eligible in Urology and eligible to be licensed in Alabama. Preference will be given to candidates fellowship trained with special consideration for urologic oncology, reconstructive surgery, endourology, and female pelvic/reconstructive surgery. Investigators with interests in urologic cancer and health disparities are encouraged to apply. Candidates must have strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, be highly motivated, and compassionate towards all individuals. Sub‑specialties practiced by the department: General Urology Female Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery Transitional Urology Male Infertility and Microsurgery The Department of Urology has a robust research program, including clinical trials and basic science research with a focus on kidney stone.
