Role Description The Experienced Tax Staff role is a full-time hybrid position based in Puerto Rico, combining in-office work with some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns, assisting with tax planning and research, and ensuring compliance with local and federal tax regulations. The role involves analyzing financial information, identifying tax issues and opportunities, and collaborating with senior team members to deliver high-quality tax services to clients across various industries. The Experienced Tax Staff will also support tax audits, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate proactively with clients and colleagues to meet deadlines and service expectations. Qualifications Strong technical tax skills, including preparation and review of individual, corporate, and partnership returns, and familiarity with Puerto Rico and U.S. tax regulations. Proficiency in accounting principles and financial analysis, including use of accounting and tax software tools. Solid research and problem-solving abilities to interpret tax laws, identify issues, and propose practical solutions. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain tax concepts clearly to clients and team members. Ability to manage multiple engagements, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA certification or candidacy is preferred. Previous public accounting experience in tax compliance and consulting, ideally serving a variety of industries. High ethical standards, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, collaborating both in person and remotely with colleagues and clients.
