Medical Director, Sickle Cell Disease, non-MD

Pfizer seeks a Medical Director to lead sickle cell disease medical affairs strategy in the United States. This role requires developing therapeutic area expertise, managing thought leader relationships, and supporting clinical development and commercialization efforts across a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute US medical strategies and tactics for sickle cell disease portfolio
• Review and approve promotional and non-promotional materials for fair balance and compliance
• Plan and lead advisory boards, symposia, and congress-related activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive US strategic direction for brand
• Support publication planning, data generation, and HCP education on appropriate medicine use

Requirements

• Terminal doctorate (PhD, PharmD) or professional degree
• 5+ years pharmaceutical industry, clinical practice, or combined experience
• Sickle cell disease knowledge and medical affairs experience preferred
• Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and relationship-building capabilities
• Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple demands in a matrix environment

Compensation: $176,600–$294,300 base annually, plus 20% bonus target and long-term incentive eligibility
