Details ICU setting with 24 rooms and an average daily census of 19 Adult to geriatric patient population Diagnoses include ARDS, sepsis, stroke, STEMI, DKA, post-op complications, cardiogenic shock, GIB, COPD exacerbation, encephalopathy, liver failure, drug overdose, and ESRD on CRRT Patient ratio of 1:2-3, with possibility of a 3rd patient Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 AM-7:00 PM) Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed Uses Pyxis and Epic systems, with SBAR communication method Block scheduling not guaranteed Requirements Active GA or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Navy blue scrubs required Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to adult and geriatric ICU patients with complex, high-acuity diagnoses Candidates will undergo a clinical screening for fit prior to manager review Maximum RTO of 7 days per assignment Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day) First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted at the same rate Returning travelers must have been away from all facilities within the health system for one full year before returning Travel pairs are not permitted on the same shift and unit American Traveler Job ID P-750176.
