We're looking for reliable team members to help provide exceptional dining services to our military community. Earn $18.47 per hour with employer-paid medical insurance through the Health & Welfare benefit. No food service experience is required. This dining facility operates 7 days a week, with employees working a 6-day schedule and shifts from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Join a team that takes pride in serving those who serve our country. Job Summary Work under the direction of the Supervisor – Cafeteria Zone. Work under general supervision and follow prescribed steps after receiving instructions as how to do the work. Supervisor – Cafeteria Zone observes the work to determine whether it is performed properly. Primary Duties The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Replace glassware, dishes, and silverware and refill condiment containers. Wipe and wash tables and countertops Clean work area, utensils, and equipment; remove garbage; mop floors, walls, windows, and tables Use chemical solutions and operate electric dish washing machine and or wash glassware, pots and pans and kitchen utensils by hand Assist in areas as needed Perform other related duties as assigned Additional Responsibilities Maintain in a sanitary condition- equipment and work areas, utensils, and tables Perform a wide variety of manual tasks in kitchen or dining area of a food activities, which involves light to moderate physical effort and is done according to established procedures Perform ware-washing, and keep pot and pan areas in order prior to, during and after meals Notify supervisor immediately of malfunctioning, inoperative, unsafe, or hazardous equipment cleaned or used Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s) High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) preferred No previous food service experience is required Must pass a military installation background check required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Good verbal communication skills Provide excellent customer service Well-organized and self-directed team player The ability, after training, to serve customers at an efficient pace while providing friendly customer service Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
