Territory Manager - NYC

Job Summary Territory Manager position at Emery Jensen (Ace Hardware). Responsible for growing profitable sales with current and new customers in New York. Responsibilities Deliver annual sales and profit objectives by developing a strategic sales plan that engages retailers/pros and increases customer base within the defined territory. Develop and foster strong business relationships with owners and key decision makers. Expectation to visit core customers at least every 30 days. Organize and prioritize weekly customer sales routes and calls to meet distribution goals. Input leads, new business opportunities, prospects and core store visits in Salesforce every Friday at noon. Obtain a minimum of 1–2 prospect visits per week per 2023 WIG document. Complete an average of 8–10 store visits weekly. Represent Emery Jensen professionally and ethically in all day-to-day activities. Communicate with Leadership Team regarding successes and challenges. Communicate with Sales Support Team, Care Center and other internal partners to resolve customer issues timely. Collaborate with team members to share ideas and sales successes. Display sound judgement regarding expenses (travel, entertainment, etc.). Qualifications Motivated self‑starter, results‑oriented, solution‑focused. Prefer 5 years B2B sales experience. Hardware sales and pro lumber experience a plus. Excellent listening, negotiating, verbal and written communication skills. Strong strategic thinking, ability to develop and implement sales growth plan. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and opportunities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Extensive travel required, including overnight travel. Valid driver’s license. BA/BS degree or equivalent preferred. Essential Functions Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record. Travel: road warrior, at least 3 days per week by plane or car. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must stand, walk, sit, climb ladder, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
