About the Role

The Company is seeking a Founding Executive Director for its Center for Translational Research in Behavioral Science. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and leading the Center, with a focus on expanding the company's research capacity, strengthening faculty and student research development, and increasing external funding. This role requires an entrepreneurial and collaborative leader who can build the Center from the ground up, develop innovative approaches to enhance the research culture, and create a university-wide hub that connects faculty expertise with interdisciplinary collaboration and applied impact. The Executive Director will also be tasked with developing signature research initiatives, engaging in strategic partnerships, and supporting the company's mission to advance human understanding. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent terminal research doctorate in a relevant field, a minimum of 3-5 years of research administration or related experience, and a proven track record of leadership in developing research programs and partnerships. Essential qualifications include a strong understanding of external research funding, experience in supporting competitive grant proposals, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in research at the intersection of human understanding and emerging technologies, and experience with translational, applied, or community-engaged research. The role also involves overseeing technology transfer and commercialization activities, so familiarity with these processes is a plus. The Executive Director will be expected to be a visible representative of the company, increasing the visibility of its research and communicating its scholarly and societal impact.
