About the Position

Job Title: Speech Therapist I Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: SLP Outpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Adult Home Health Experience License: Must have license in hand Certifications: CPR, BLS Must-Have: - Recent home health experience - Reliable transportation - Current driver's license - Agency-required liability insurance Description: This position requires a Speech Therapist to work in the outpatient setting. The contract assignment is for 13 weeks. The schedule of assignment hours is Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The therapist will be responsible for visiting patients' homes for therapy sessions. Periodic office meetings will be held as needed. The average number of patients seen per day will be between 5 to 10, equating to 6-8 points. Each week, the therapist is expected to achieve a productivity standard of 30 points. Documentation must be completed within 24 hours of each patient appointment. Delays in documentation that impact billing and follow-up patient care will lead to cancellations. There are no guaranteed hours for this contract. The clinician must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from the assigned care center. Mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS standard rate. All contracted personnel must be compliant with EMR systems used in this role. The therapist will need to accept all patients on their schedule, regardless of travel distance. Declining patients may lead to cancellations of assignments. Candidates must have a vehicle and be comfortable with potentially long drives between appointments. Home health experience is mandatory.
