About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience - Level 1 or 2 trauma experience required - Pediatric experience required License: - State license required (pending licenses accepted) Certifications: - ACLS - BLS - PALS - TNCC (can submit with TNCC pending) Must-Have: - Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays - Must have experience with pediatric patients - Must be available to work weekends as scheduled based on staffing needs Description: This position involves working in a fast-paced emergency department. The nurse will be responsible for triaging and treating patients. The position requires the ability to handle high-stress situations efficiently. Flexibility in scheduling is needed, and block scheduling cannot be guaranteed. The candidate should be comfortable floating within their scope of practice as needed. Time off during specific holidays cannot be accommodated. Prior experience with trauma patients is essential. Daily patient census is around 165 patients. The role involves working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team. The nurse will be involved in providing care to a diverse age group, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. This position will require proficiency in the Epic charting system.
