We are seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Manager of Critical Care (Medical ICU) to join a leading healthcare organization in the Plano, TX area. This is an outstanding leadership opportunity to oversee a high-acuity 16-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit within a collaborative and innovation-driven hospital environment. The role manages approximately 45 FTEs, driving excellence in patient outcomes, safety, and team performance.

Responsibilities include providing 24/7 leadership and accountability for the Medical ICU department, overseeing daily operations, staffing, scheduling, and clinical workflow, implementing and monitoring policies, procedures, and performance improvement initiatives, collaborating closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to achieve top-tier patient outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, mentoring and developing nursing staff, fostering engagement and retention, and managing departmental budgets, supply utilization, and strategic initiatives supporting quality and growth.

Required qualifications include a current RN license in Texas or Compact State, a Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN), minimum 2 years of recent acute care leadership experience in Critical Care (ICU), and current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or Red Cross). Preferred qualifications include a Masters Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration, national specialty certification (CCRN and/or CNRN), and experience in a large tertiary or academic hospital setting.
