Chemical Operator

We are seeking skilled Chemical Operators with a solid background in manufacturing. The role involves working from Material Safety Data Sheets daily and following batch sheets to execute specific processes in the production of various chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Work from Material Safety Data Sheets and follow batch sheets to complete specific processes.
• Weigh and measure raw materials accurately.
• Mix, blend, and combine ingredients as per guidelines.
• Load completed products into drums.
• Operate equipment to initiate chemical reactions.

• Strong background in manufacturing.
• High degree of mechanical aptitude.
• Strong working knowledge of mathematics.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

• 3 to 5 years of direct chemical operating experience is preferred.

Work Environment

The work is based in an open-air environment where employees are exposed to extreme weather conditions, getting very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter. The facility operates three shifts: first shift (Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm), second shift (Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:00pm), and third shift (Sunday - Thursday, 11:00pm - 7:00am). The dress code includes full face respirators, long sleeves, hard hats, safety glasses, steel toe boots, and long pants. Employees will work in smaller groups of about five people but should also be comfortable working independently.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rock Hill, SC.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
