About the Position

Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: MRI Tech Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: ARRT Certified Certifications: BLS Required, ACLS Preferred Must-Have: Candidates must possess BLS certification. Candidates must have ARRT certification. Description: The MRI Unit operates with one MRI scanner and one table. There is one MRI Technologist working 24 hours a day with 12-hour shifts. The unit has a total of two MRI Technologists, one on day shift and one on night shift. The patient care ratio is 1:1. The type of equipment used is a GE 1.5 Discovery 450 MRI scanner. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech. Candidates may be expected to perform MRI scans that produce detailed images of internal body structures. This unit does not utilize X-Rays. Successful candidates will be critical thinkers and flexible in their approach. Working independently is a must, along with adaptability and flexibility. Weekend and night shifts are required. The dress code includes all black scrubs. The facility is accredited and has received recognition for outstanding care, including designations as a Certified Primary Stroke Center and a five-star rating for heart treatment for 11 consecutive years. This position is available due to contractor replacement.
