Patient Care Technician IUnder the direction of the Registered Nurse, the PCT I performs delegated patient care activities in a manner that is aligned with the age specific needs of the patient to ensure safe, accurate, and high-quality care. PCT I is an entry level position whose job functions include but are not limited to: providing for a patient's activities of daily living (ADLs); limited screening, collection, and recording of data and information; maintenance of unit supplies and equipment; patient transporting; answering call-lights, telephone, Vocera.WHO WE AREWith 11 ministries and access points across Indiana, Franciscan Health is one of the largest Catholic health care systems in the Midwest. Franciscan Health takes pride in hiring coworkers that provide compassionate, comprehensive care for our patients and the communities we serve.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECTPerform activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, oral care, grooming (shaving), urinary catheter and ostomy care; assists with meals and feeding; assists with positioning, ambulation, and mobilization; assists with elimination and toileting.Screening/Collection/Recording data & information: vital signs, intake & output, weights, specimen collection.Restocks patient room and unit supplies, performs equipment checks.Transports patients by wheelchair, cart, bed, bassinet.Answers patient call-lights, telephones, Vocera.
