What You'll Do:

• Load, transport, and deliver residential, commercial, and military household goods moves safely and efficiently
• Pack and wrap customer belongings using proper techniques, blankets, stretch wrap, and protective materials
• Secure cargo with straps, blankets, and tie-downs following proper weight distribution practices
• Handle customer belongings with care, detail, and respect
• Communicate clearly with customers and crew throughout every job
• Represent Acadiana Movers with professionalism and integrity at every stop
• Keep trucks, equipment, and supplies clean, organized, and ready for the next job
• Show up on time, every time — punctuality matters here

Driver Track - Additional Responsibilities:

• Safely operate company trucks (16–26 ft box trucks) on local, regional, and interstate routes
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections before every departure
• Lead your crew on-site: manage time, customer communication, and job quality
• Maintain professional driving behavior with Samsara dashcam and telematics monitoring active
• Track fuel, mileage, and vehicle maintenance needs — report issues promptly
• Maintain compliance with all DOT/FMCSA regulations and company safety standards

What We're Looking For:

• Reliable transportation to and from work daily
• Valid driver's license (CDL or Chauffeur's license preferred for Driver track)
• Working, reliable cell phone
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs independently and 100+ lbs with crew assistance
• Ability to stand, bend, squat, climb stairs, and work 8–10+ hour shifts in varying weather
• Clean background - willing to submit to drug screening and background check
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and zero tolerance for cutting corners
• High school diploma or equivalent

For Driver Track:

• Clean MVR - no DUI/DWI, reckless driving, or license suspension in past 3 years
• 1+ years of driving experience (box truck, delivery, commercial — moving experience NOT required)
• Current DOT medical card (or willingness to obtain)

Preferred:

• Prior moving, warehouse, or physical labor experience
• Experience with Samsara or similar GPS/ELD/telematics platforms
• Familiarity with military household goods (HHG) shipping procedures
• Experience operating 26'+ box trucks
• First aid/CPR certification

Schedule:

• 25–50 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM start
• Peak season (March – September): extended hours, weekend availability required
• Overtime as needed based on job volume and duration
• Local and regional routes daily; occasional interstate travel for military and long-distance moves
