Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) with telemetry experience available in a facility located in Elmira, New York. This role involves performing stress testing in a specialized Heart and Vascular Institute, including treadmill, nuclear, and stress echocardiogram procedures. The RN will learn and implement stress testing protocols, collaborate with cardiologists and medical techs, and provide inpatient and outpatient care. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with Saturday call shifts.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: RN license, telemetry experience, cardiology experience, ability to perform stress testing including treadmill, nuclear stress, and stress echocardiogram, patient care skills for inpatient and outpatient settings, and minimal 1 year of relevant experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with stress protocols, familiarity with GE Ventri Nuclear Cameras and Epic software, IV insertion skills, and cardiology certification if applicable
• Additional Information: The unit is a combined Stress and Echo Laboratory with RNs and Cardiac Sonographers, performing stress testing on both inpatient and outpatient cases. No stress testing is performed on weekends. The lab is equipped with GE Ventri Nuclear Cameras and reports are generated using Epic software. Saturday call shifts involve arriving early to perform inpatient studies alongside echo tech. Responsibilities include learning stress testing protocols and starting IVs, as well as administering contrast agents such as Definity.
