Location: Primarily Remote w/occasional office visits to Bala Cynwyd, PA
Title: HR/Staffing Coordinator
Hourly rate: $25 per hour
Hours: M to F 8am to 5pm
This person will be doing all onboarding for new hires.
Handling 60-70 new hires at any time. Roles range from Non-clinical, to APPs, IT etc. Will be the main POC for walking candidate through all compliance and onboarding - new hire paperwork, systems access, Occ Health appointment, etc.
High level of call volume along with emails and tracking in ATS.
Remote Position but will need to be able to report to the office from time to time for quarterly meetings, HR retreat etc.
Schedule: M-F, core hours of 8a-5pm
Summary: The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the successful on-boarding of their assigned workload of new hires in accordance with department protocol and process. They are the main point of contact for the new hire and as a result they are responsible for assisting the new hire throughout the on boarding process. The Staffing Coordinator needs to exhibit a high level of customer service at all times to their client group, which consists of new hires, applicants, and co-workers.
Responsibilities:
-Make phone contact with assigned new hire(s) and provide an introduction as the point of contact during the onboarding process.
-Review and set expectations for the entire on boarding process
-Scheduling the Occupational Medicine appointment for the new hire based upon mutual schedules.
-Initiating and following up on the background investigation and drug screen results.
-Ensuring that all pertinent certifications, licenses, and legal requirements detailed in the job description are verified by the background screening vendor.
-Continuously following up on the progress of the new hire's clearances such as drug screen, employment, education, licensure, and/or certification verifications, as applicable.

-Communicating and following up with leadership about any problems, issues, and delays as they arise that could potentially push back a start date of the new hire.
-Submit a completed file to the Staffing Supervisor in a timely manner for approvals.
-Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures.
-Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization.
