Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Job Responsibilities As a Counselor, under the supervision of the Lead Counselor, you will provide counseling and education to clients. You will promote a positive environment, encourage ongoing learning, and support clients' recovery efforts. Qualifications Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor or Bachelor's degree with at least 1 year of relevant experience Experience teaching or presenting on addiction recovery Valid Driver’s License and clean MVR Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn new software Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to make decisions independently Confidentiality and integrity Alignment with the Salvation Army's philosophy and goals Active Christian worldview; if in recovery, at least 3 years sobriety; no current chemical dependency Physical Requirements Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist Ability to lift 30 lbs.
