Senior Manager, Purchasing

Reports to a Director or VP level within DENSO North America Purchasing Group (NAPG) supervising procurement officers or team members, and working across functional and geographic boundaries to support global or regional operations.Supports the development of long-term strategies for the Purchasing function; aligns and executes plans as approved by Purchasing top management and monitors achievement.Develop and deploy sourcing strategies for MRO spend, incorporating market insights, risks, opportunities, and best practices.Leads the MRO Purchasing team for development and negotiation of complex supplier agreements while considering the business needs and obtaining proper approvals.Conduct cost analysis, issue RFPs/RFQs, and secure competitive pricing to maximize total value of ownership while monitoring supplier performance.Maintain an understanding of industry best practices and implement continuous improvement initiatives for MRO procurement (kaizen.)Manage supplier performance through KPIs and scorecards and manages supply chain risks.Ensure compliance with governance requirements and adherence to procurement policies, legal frameworks, and sustainability requirements.
