Our employees are highly trained and motivated to serve our customers.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThis position may be required to perform additional tasks, responsibilities, or duties as assigned:Be appropriately dressed for the elements (Wearing appropriate PPE as required)Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipmentOperate, navigate and drive all company fleet vehicles in safe, efficient manner following the rules of the road set by government legislationPlan delivery routes, with co-ordination from the shipping supervisor, to maximize efficiency while on the roadPlan routes in a manner to meet and/or exceed delivery deadlinesRead work orders or receive oral instructions for work assignmentsParticipate in the loading and/or unloading of company fleet trucksFollow Department of Transportation policy and procedures regarding Load Securement, Transportation of Dangerous Goods and operation of a commercial vehicleProvide on the job training to new/junior drivers as requiredProvide information for the completion of incident reports in relation to health and safety issuesWill be driving a 26' box truck, flatbed truck, cardo van or pickup truck.SKILLS AND COMPETENCIESEffective communication skills Attention to detail/AccuracyDependabilityIntegrityCooperationAdaptability/flexibilityInitiativeCreative problem solverAble to lift up to 50 lbsEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONMinimum of a high school diploma or equivalent requiredCustomer Service experience preferredValid Driver's License with clean driving recordMinimum age to obtain a drive for hire endorsement— Varies per state and insurance regulationsFinal candidates will be required to undergo and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
