Job Title

Endoscopy Technician

Columbia, SC | Acute Care Hospital

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts | 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during endoscopy procedures at a 1:1 patient ratio
• Rotate through scope cleaning and reprocessing room duties
• Participate in on-call rotation, expected approximately 1 day per week (Monday–Thursday) and every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
• Document patient care using Epic electronic health record system
• Float within scope to meet facility needs or between like units as needed, though this is considered unlikely
• Be available to respond to call within 30 minutes of the facility

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy Tech experience
• BLS certification required
• Must reside within 60 miles of the facility; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Must be available to respond to on-call assignments within 30 minutes of the facility
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; requests submitted after will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Prior travel assignment experience preferred, though first-time travelers will be considered
• Familiarity with scope reprocessing and sterilization protocols
