Join KMI and be part of a company that values safety, integrity and quality.Job DescriptionSummary:The individual will be working at various asphalt plants and terminals in the Northeast Ohio region (Cuyahoga County, Lake County, Portage County, Geauga County) supporting production of hot-mix asphalt through plant upgrades, maintenance and repairs.Working environment is a combination of indoor and outdoor.** This role will be 1st shift **Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesWork both supervised and unsupervisedPerform tasks in a timely mannerWork both efficiently and safelyMust value his and other team members' safety as the number 1 priorityWork in various environmentsOperate company equipmentSubmit necessary paperwork as neededComplete necessary training as prescribed by the companyGet along with others and represent the company in a positive mannerFollow direction of supervisors and other project team membersWilling to fill in, when needed, to perform other duties at the Asphalt Plant (Ground Man or Loader Man)QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:Must have knowledge of Asphalt Plant OperationsAbility to work nights and weekends (on-call)Must have cutting and welding experience and be able to pass certificationMust have mechanical knowledgeCrane rigging and signaling experience (certification is a very strong plus)Able to work in confined spaces.Lockout tagout experience and/or certificationPossesses a class B CDLAble to operate manlifts and work in elevated areasPossess a clean driving recordMust be able to pass drug and alcohol screenings on demandMust be able to work alone or with large groups of team membersAble to work in all environments.
