Forklift Operator

Costco Wholesale Corp. - - Responsibilities: Operate seated and standing forklift to transfer product from warehouse floor to load trucks and ensure expedient and accurate handling of merchandise; Move merchandise by hand or forklift equipment to maintain continuous flow of merchandise; Open and close bay doors and pull pins for the dock plate; unload and stock incoming merchandise, pick outgoing merchandise, and load outbound trailers when needed; Check, verify, and audit merchandise and enter data into remote data terminals to ensure orders are correct and merchandise not damaged; Operate forklift as needed to move and put away merchandise and replenish pick areas identified by replenishment reports; Obtain customer orders identifying requested merchandise and fulfill orders by selecting and moving merchandise from active slot to flat; Report damages and vendor compliance issues; resolve problems with manager's help; Use forklift to obtain product, stage product, and move doors using small hand tools; Clean area by picking up packaging and cardboard material; operate cardboard baler; dispose of hazardous materials appropriately; Assist in other department duties as necessary; assist in other warehouse departments as needed
