About This Role The Staff Nurse in the NICU at Mount Sinai Hospital provides safe, competent quality care to a designated group of patients and their families, utilizing nursing theory and research. Highlights Pay: $64.85/hour Location: New York, NY Facility: Mount Sinai Hospital Department/Unit: Klingenstein 3 NICU - MSH Schedule: Full-Time, Night shift What You'll Do Deliver patient care using the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care. Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills. Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in nursing care delivery. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team on care plans. Prioritize patient care aspects including teaching and planning post-hospital care. Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care and health promotion. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team. Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing. Role model the tenets of Mount Sinai Relationship Centered Care. Initiate service recovery for patients and families with concerns. Requirements Education BSN required, ADN accepted if matriculated in a BSN program. Experience 1 year of inpatient experience required. Licenses & Certifications Current RN License in New York State. BLS from the American Heart Association required. NRP Certification required.
