Kitchen Design Specialist

The Coastal Home Experts : Architecture, Interior Design, Landscapes, Furniture & Accessories Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Kitchen Design Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for guiding clients through the design and purchasing process for kitchen and bath products, including cabinetry, appliances, plumbing fixtures and countertop materials ensuring an exceptional customer experience from initial consultation to final installation. Key Responsibilities: Engage with customers to understand their needs, preferences, and budget. Provide expert advice on kitchen design and bath products, materials, and design options. Prepare and present detailed proposals and quotes. Design Consultation Assist clients in selecting cabinetry, countertops, fixtures, appliances and accessories. Utilize design software (e.g., 2020 Design, AutoCAD, AutoKitchen) to create layouts and visual presentations. Project Coordination Obtains measurements from construction blueprints and visit job site for re-measurement and evaluation. Reviews plans with customers, makes revisions, and prepares final designs and budgets for approval. Collaborate with contractors, installers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery and installation. Tracks progress or ordered items and contacts customers upon arrival of the items. Assists warehouse staff during product delivery and checks for damages and quality. Resolves customers’ complaints regarding delivery of damaged or incorrect merchandise. Product Knowledge & Upselling Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and design innovations. Recommend complementary products and upgrades to enhance customer satisfaction. Qualifications: Proven experience in kitchen and bath sales or related field. Strong knowledge of cabinetry, countertops, plumbing fixtures, and design principles. Proficiency in design software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Preferred Skills: Certification in kitchen and bath design (CKBD) is a plus. Familiarity with construction processes and building codes.
