AU Transition Program Aide

Under general supervision of the program administrator and the direction of a specific certificated staff member, the AU Transition Program Aide performs the necessary duties in the implementation of a program for special needs students in classrooms, performing a variety of supportive tasks to facilitate learning activities and life skill development, including operating a vehicle (i.e. a car, van, or other vehicles capable of transporting up to 7-passengers; excluding a school bus, school pupil activity bus, or youth bus) over designated rural, mountainous routes for a variety of reasons including but not limited to transporting students safely and efficiently; driving students to and from special events; delivering instructional materials, equipment, and various other items; and, performing related work as required.

All employment with the Calaveras County Office of Education is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-employment requirements which includes but is not limited to fingerprinting and verification of negative tuberculosis, and all other relevant SB88 Requirements.
