Crouse Health’s Emergency Department operates on a 24‑hour basis and provides treatment for a multitude of emergent and non‑emergent patient conditions.

The per diem physician helps deliver high‑quality medical care within the Emergency Services Department and provides oversight to Advanced Practice Clinicians and residents.

Hourly Rate: $275 / hour

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Some exposure to communicable diseases or toxic substances, ionizing radiation, therapeutic preparations and other conditions common to a health care environment.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Requires a full range of motion, including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity and eye‑hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts, carries and pushes items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
