Pharmaceutical Development Scientist I (2nd shift)

Pharmaceutical Development Scientist I – 2nd shift (12pm‑10:30pm, Monday‑Thursday or Tuesday‑Friday). Position located at Catalent’s Kansas City facility. Responsibilities Lead clinical trial manufacturing endeavors and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, cGMP, and SOPs. Design and execute experiments and processes necessary for developing oral solid dosage form formulations. Develop and execute laboratory work plans/schedules independently, incorporating customer milestones and division/site performance standards and metrics. Author technical documents such as protocols, batch records, test methods, technical reports, and operating procedures. Review technical documents for accuracy, thoroughness, and regulatory compliance. Train, coach, or mentor others on technical development or business issues. Direct (limited) work of technical staff, including work assignments. Supervise customer interaction on team meetings. Possess knowledge of high‑shear granulation, fluid‑bed technology, roller compaction, compression, and encapsulation. Execute efficiency improvement projects with moderate guidance. Identify and recommend business opportunities on a project‑specific basis. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related life‑science or physical‑science field and at least 6+ years of related work experience. Master’s degree in a related life‑science or physical‑science field and at least 4+ years of related work experience (preferred). Doctorate in a related life‑science or physical‑science field (preferred). Hands‑on experience in oral solid dosage form development and manufacturing (preferred).
