Job Title: Float Pool Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: Current BCLS certification; ACLS preferred Must-Have: Proficient in IV start and telemetry monitoring Strong communication and teamwork skills Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail Description: Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting. Demonstrate flexibility to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity as needed. Availability for weekdays and some weekends, including holidays is required. Handle patient ratios of 1:4-5 effectively. Utilize experience with electronic health record systems for patient charting. Perform various nursing skills including IV management, cardiac drips management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Participate in interdisciplinary support with teams such as physical therapy, social services, and pharmacy. Manage all types of patient diagnoses, ensuring that care meets established standards. Contribute to the smooth operation of the unit through collaboration and support of team members. Comply with local health and safety regulations throughout the duration of employment.
